In the dead of winter, you want your home to have a warm, comforting appeal. What better way to achieve that warmth than with a few candles? Candles can look luxurious and cozy at the same time. It’s all about how you incorporate them into your decor. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Arrangement In a Basket

Accentuate your ultra-luxury interior design with a wire basket filled with various candles. Try choosing candles that are of the same color and basic shape, but different heights. Arrange them with the tallest candles in the center and the smaller ones surrounding them.

Candles Against a Mirror

If you have a mirror on top of your buffet table or credenza, arrange some pillar candles in front of it. Make sure they are about 6 inches away from the mirror for best results. When they are lit, the light will bounce off the mirror, illuminating the space.

Create a seasonal vignette

Whether on your coffee table or a hallway console, a combination of candles in different colors or sizes can produce an artful display adaptable to the weather. Use a variety of white candles with evergreen branches in the winter, then alternate to yellow and purple candles with flowers in the spring.

On The Mantel

Line up pillar candles on the mantel. You can make one long line with the tallest candle in the center, or you can create several groups of three candles each. Another idea is to place each candle inside a glass jar, and then fill the space around the candle with rocks. The layout will look lovely on a stone mantel.

For beautiful candles to include in your displays, stop by the Chrisicos Showroom and browse our selection of Thymes candles. Made with food-grade paraffin wax, they’re clean burning and a lovely addition to your ultra-luxury interior design.

Always keep burning candles away from anything that can catch fire and be sure to extinguish the wick when leaving the room. If you need more interior design advice, contact Chrisicos Interiors at 617-699-9462.
